BRS CEO and Founder Set to Retire
Building Research Systems, Inc. (BRS) announces the retirement of company founder, Leo Neyer. As the CEO, owner and founder of BRS, Leo has been instrumental in the success of the company he started in 1994. While holding several specialized positions within the metal building manufacturing industry during his fifty plus year career, Leo brought his creativity and insight to the industry and helped him to design standing seam roof systems which are successfully being utilized today. With a desire to do more, Leo created Building Research Systems, Inc. to design, develop, test, deploy and patent the two highest performing roof systems available today.
Utilizing the revolutionary patented and copyrighted Triplelok® and Quadlok® panel joinery, the seam designs for the TS-324 and Panel Craft 216/218 panel profiles continue to bring success to the company with more square footage of BRS’s licensed roof systems installed in the USA than any other brand. With his name on eight patents as inventor of products in the metal roofing industry, Leo’s experience, knowledge and personal tenacity have made BRS the most successful metal roofing licensing firms within the metal building/roofing community. His Superior Seam Technology (SST by BRS) designs and vision have positively impacted the entire metal roofing marketplace through the BRS licensee program.
With the recent addition of Cody Rodden as President of BRS, Leo feels the time is right. “Knowing the future of the company is in good hands with Cody, I am ready retire,” Leo said. Leo has elected to remain on the board of directors as Chairman, along with his son Ted Neyer, the Chief Operating Officer. They will help oversee the ongoing evolution of BRS to assure the maintenance of its foundational core principles.
As an influential force in the metal building manufacturing industry, Leo will be missed by all those in the industry that had the privilege to know, work with or just receive his wisdom and insight. Please join us in wishing him the best in the next steps of his journey.
